How ProProStats Works
Season
Builder
First, registered users need to create a “season”.
In the season, users will input game information
(including opponents, game dates and times), rosters
(including player information), and other various
information. This stage assists the Data Entry
and Web Page Builder phases by eliminating retyping
information
Data
Entry
Next, game information is entered from scoresheets
and stat sheets. Users can customize which data
ProStats asks for, including shots, plus/minus
(players on the ice when goals scored for/against)
and goaltending statistics. The program seamlessly
saves all data on the fly so that if a session
is interrupted, users can pick up right where
they left off. Because game information –
such as opponent, game date/time, and team roster
– has already been entered, users can easily
input results for their team records with drop-down
menus. (See example).

[ The program verifies which game was played,
confirms roster/line-up (including scratches),
inputs basic game information, goals/assists/players-on-ice,
penalties and goaltending information that auto-populates
a box score that is saved on the server. ]
Web
Page Builder
It would be redundant to input the same information
or recompile statistics for your web site when
you have already entered that same data elsewhere
one. ProStats allows users to query the database
to track and publish player statistics, game results
and box scores on the web site using the data
they have already inputted in the Season Builder
and Data Entry phases. Users have the easy option
to either export CSV or HTML pages and input into
their own pages, or to dynamically query the statistic
database on the fly. ProStats also has an option
to develop a complete web site using a content
management system – ProCMS.us - and extract
information dynamically from the ProStats system.
